Apparel design is a recurring task at HOIST Fitness. Around 2-3 times a year I am tasked to make new t-shirt designs that would be given out at conventions, sold online, and sold to employees. For this project I am the lead creative, I begin with talking to the COO & CEO and see what they are interested in seeing for this season’s design.

I start this process making mood boards, then begin making thumbnails, and start sketching/ implementing the designs into various softwares. Once the designs have been created I make mockups to then place into a weekly marketing meeting presentation deck for review.

Once approved I coordinate with the manufacturer to get the shirts made and sent back to the company. Once we have the shirts I then separate them by size, count all inventory, and finally separate them into 2 groups: retail inventory and convention inventory.

This project lets me express my creativity and bring in something fun to our shirts. I love creating the shirts and seeing the final product in my hands is always an incredible feeling.
